Cookies are small pieces of information stored in the browser (or similar technologies such as localStorage) that may be used to ensure proper website operation, improve convenience, or – in the case of analytics/marketing tools – to measure and profile usage.
2. What cookies we use
The Monitor KSeF website is designed to operate without external trackers. Currently:
- We use Matomo – a self-hosted analytics tool. Data remains on our server and is not shared with third parties.
- We do not embed third-party advertising scripts, tracking pixels or profiling tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel).
- We may use functional cookies / localStorage solely to remember your cookie preferences.
Categories
- Strictly necessary – required for the basic operation and security of the website (cannot be disabled).
- Functional – used to remember your cookie choice (preferences). Stored locally in the browser.
- Analytics – Matomo (self-hosted). We collect traffic data to improve the website. Data does not leave our server.
- Marketing – we do not use marketing cookies.
Retention period
If you enable functional cookies, we store your decision in the browser (key: mksef_cookie_consent_v1). It remains until you clear your browser data or change your decision.
3. Legal basis and consent
Within the EU, cookie rules stem from electronic communications privacy regulations (the so-called ePrivacy Directive) and the GDPR when information can be linked to a user.
- Strictly necessary – may be used without consent, as they are essential for the service to function.
- Functional – activated voluntarily in the settings.
- Analytics / marketing – if ever added, they would only be activated after your consent.
4. How to manage settings
You have several options:
- Use the "Settings" button in the cookie banner (at the bottom of the page) to change your choice.
- Delete site data in your browser settings (cookies / site data). This will reset your decision.
- You can also block cookies in your browser – note, however, that some websites may not function correctly as a result.
5. Changes to this policy
If we add analytics tools or other features requiring consent in the future, we will update this policy and display a banner allowing you to make a choice.
